Location: Hybrid - Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich.
Flexibility to work from a variety of places including our office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich and home.

The Opportunity
Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about data privacy and eager to develop their career with a great company. We are looking for a proactive, diligent, and approachable Data Protection Coordinator to effectively coordinate data protection activities that support and strengthen the Trust’s compliance with data protection regulations.
What Will You Do?
• Act as the first point of contact for data protection queries, escalating to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) where needed.
• Maintain and update the Trust’s Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Manage and respond to data subject rights requests within legal timeframes.
• Keep data protection policies, procedures, and training materials current.
• Support Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to ensure privacy by design.
• Log, assess, and monitor data protection incidents and breaches.
• Support internal audits and conduct regular data protection reviews.
• Deliver training sessions and awareness campaigns on data protection.
• Engage with colleagues across the Trust to embed good data protection practices in daily operations.
• Implement and support process improvements related to information governance and security.
• Monitor upcoming regulatory changes and support any changes to processes that may be required to ensure ongoing compliance.
Minimum Requirements For This Role*
• 5 Grade GCSE 4-9 / A* - C (Including English and Math’s) or equivalent level of qualification(s)
• At least 2 years’ experience supporting data protection compliance processes.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in data protection or information governance.
• Strong working knowledge of UK Data Protection legislation including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Experience using redaction tools and eDiscovery Platforms.
Additionally, due to the flexible working arrangements with this role, you will need access to a room where you can work from and a suitable internet connection.
