Kamelia Kids are looking for a full time Nursery Manager to join the team, working 38 / 40 hours, across 4 or 5 days per week, from 07.30 to 18.00.

The Role
The role of the Nursery Manager is to model professional practice, providing leadership and management of the day to day running of the nursery. The Nursery Manager is responsible for effectively leading, managing and inspiring the nursery team to deliver an outstanding service of care and education to our families. The expectation is that this is delivered consistently and daily to ensure that the Early Years Foundation Stage and children's learning outcomes and development are embedded within the nursery.
The role will be part of the senior management team, to lead the nursery team to ensure that the vision, mission, and values of Kamelia Kids are always fulfilled. Inspiring the team to strive for excellence and be OFSTED outstanding. Be one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads, ensuring that any concerns are acted upon immediately and appropriately at all times. Provide high quality standards of care and educational experiences, in a safe and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors. Guide the teaching and learning, through the nursery curriculum and approach to learning, considering the requirements of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Education Inspection Framework. Actively promote a positive approach to support SEND children, ensuring the SEND Code of Practice is adhered to. Communicate regularly with the Board of Trustees, and daily with the Nursery Operations Director and senior management team.

Person Specification
Essential criteria
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years, with 2 years or more experience.
An enhanced DBS and three satisfactory references.
Positive working relationship, with an open attitude, and the ability to manage and lead change effectively.
Sound understanding of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Education Inspection Framework.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Sound knowledge of child development.
Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
Commitment to inclusion through Ordinarily Available Inclusive Practice (OAIP).
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, are essential to effectively liaise and work with nursery team, parents/carers & professionals.
Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively and to produce reports and correspondence in a professional and accurate format.
Commitment to diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace.
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Hold a level 2 math qualification or gain this within 2 years.
Desirable criteria
Level 5 and or Degree Early Years Qualification or willing to undertake.
Paediatric First Aid trained in the last 3 years.
Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safeguarding training in the last 2 years.
Experience in supporting educators with SEND Strategies.
Display resourcefulness and have a commercial mindset.
