We are seeking a dedicated Tutor for our Routes to Education & Employment program, who has expertise in supporting young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Mental Health needs.
Job Description
Prepare course/training materials
Complete external paperwork as required in a timely manner
Maintain the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria
Complete learner and delivery paperwork as required in a timely manner
Provide Initial Assessment and diagnostic of the learner needs including English and maths using company standards
Teach wellbeing awareness
Attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC
Support learners with LDD/SEND/ behaviour in a variety of classroom settings
Work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed
Be aware of individual learner’s risk assessments and needs
Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible
Person Specification
Recognised teaching qualification
Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent)
Experience of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural and mental health difficulties
Understanding of relevant polices /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
Job Type: Full-time.
