Process Design Lead – Role Overview
Our Process Design Team (PDT) is responsible for creating and managing the Agency’s guidance materials to ensure our frontline colleagues have easy access to clear and meaningful guidance, either within the Guidance Hub or other digital platforms, to deliver excellent customer service.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team of Process Design Senior Leads; someone who is great at planning and performance management, can be both proactive and reactive to changing priorities and has the drive to make excellent things happen.
You will work with the PDT Leader and will manage a small team of HEO Guidance Managers, as required, to deliver high quality guidance products that meet business needs.
Process Design Lead – Key responsibilities
- Work with Customer Journey Owners, Operational Managers, Performance Managers, Continuous Improvement (CI) Consultants, and other stakeholders to review, and identify opportunities to improve, the Agency’s operational processes.
- Analyse data, customer insight and understand business performance for current processes.
- Assess the impact of the new Valuation Operation System (VOS) and other IT/Digital developments on current processes, ensuring that process design and improvement supports IT/Digital transformation.
- Manage process design Change Control, ensuring proposed changes are evaluated and considered by relevant stakeholders, and, if approved, implemented effectively.
- Approve the content of IBs, and changes to operational guidance on the VOA Guidance Hub and in other formats.
- Lead and manage process design and process improvement activities, reviewing existing processes to identify the efficiency and productivity improvements that are achievable from re-design and further development of existing business processes.
- Lead/support process design workshops, ‘Show & Tells’ and other events as required.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to operational leaders, CI consultants, Chief Valuer Group, Strategy Group and other corporate stakeholders.
- Ensure that the design, or re-design, of end-to-end processes deliver best customer service and value for money, and that business processes are aligned with the product purpose, our customer strategy and the data and digital strategy.
- Lead the testing and evaluation of ‘To be’ processes, and the capturing of benefits, using appropriate measures.
- Oversee the production of SOPs, process maps, guidance and other supporting tools and templates as required, in accordance with VOA process design standards.
- Analyse Guidance Hub data and use this to evaluate efficacy of published guidance and support operational engagement and compliance.
- Manage varied projects to completion within agreed deadlines, providing reports /presentations on progress/impacts to senior leaders and operational colleagues.
- Manage and develop staff effectively to ensure high quality tools are delivered to meet business needs and issues escalated appropriately.
