Summary
Holistic Support Role for Neurodivergent Individual with Complex Health & Lifestyle Needs
About the Role
This is a rewarding, meaningful position supporting a thoughtful neurodivergent adult with chronic health conditions (pain, fatigue, seizures, cognitive fluctuation) in a calm, values-led family home with two young children. The household is structured around care, creativity, and purpose.
The ideal PA will be calm, intuitive, adaptable, and share ethical, dietary, and spiritual values — supporting health, executive function, daily wellbeing, light family participation, and gentle activities.
Role Purpose
To provide consistent, holistic support enabling the individual to live with dignity, autonomy, and balance across personal care, cognitive support, emotional wellbeing, and daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
Support personal care including washing, dressing, grooming and oral care
Prompt and monitor medication, record side effects or changes
Prepare or assist with vegan, gluten-free, whole-food meals and snacks
Plan safe shopping trips (online or in-person), mindful of dietary triggers
Maintain a calm, low-scent, sensory-considerate environment
Support executive functioning, daily planning, reminders, and light admin
Accompany to medical appointments, hospital visits, therapy sessions
Supervise mobility indoors and outdoors, support safe wheelchair use
Accompany to gentle gym sessions and swimming, including changing support
Provide transport to activities or appointments, or help arrange transport
Assist during family outings with children, acting as a backup adult presence
Help with simple household tasks (laundry, tidying, basic cleaning, paperwork)
Support calm transitions before school runs, meals, or busy family moments
Respect and align with spiritual practices and lunar-based rhythms
Support outdoor walks, nature time, and community or befriending activities
Encourage hobbies, relaxation, mindfulness, or arts and crafts
Provide reassurance during confusion, anxiety, or cognitive fluctuation
Respect the role of the partner and foster a collaborative, supportive atmosphere
Keep simple records of daily wellbeing and share updates with the family

Aligned with vegan/gluten-free values
Can cook or help with whole-food plant-based meals
Enjoys nature and gentle activities like walking or swimming
Experience with chronic illness, autism, ADHD, epilepsy
Calm, emotionally intelligent, and grounded
Comfortable with non-verbal or quiet days
Flexible, reliable, respectful of family dynamics
Clear communicator with good personal boundaries
Driving licence and car owner preferred
