Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor for a short-term assignment in Hertfordshire. This is a 2-week position with 10 hours paid daily. Responsibilities As a Site Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of Forklift Drivers, Banksmen, and General Operatives.
- Overseeing a team of 6 operatives to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
- Monitoring and enforcing health and safety standards on-site.
- Submitting accurate and timely timesheets for all operatives under your supervision.
- Providing clear instructions and guidance to team members to meet project objectives.
- Addressing any on-site issues promptly and escalating them when necessary.
Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification (mandatory).
- Valid First Aid qualification.
- Proven experience in supervising site operations, including Forklift Drivers and Banksmen.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ensuring site safety.
Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve:
- Conducting daily briefings and assigning tasks to operatives.
- Supervising and monitoring the performance of Forklift Drivers, Banksmen, and General Operatives.
- Ensuring all site activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations.
- Submitting timesheets and maintaining accurate records of work completed.
- Addressing any operational challenges and ensuring the smooth running of the site.
