Hays is proud to be partnering with a local council to recruit a Head of Finance Business Partnering in a newly created leadership role following a strategic restructure. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead and shape the council's Business Partnering teams across People, Place, and Capital portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Business Partnering function across key service areas, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Drive financial strategy, budget setting, and year-end closure processes.
- Advise senior leadership and elected members, providing expert financial insight to support policy decisions and transformation plans.
- Influence at local, regional, and national levels, engaging stakeholders and shaping council-wide priorities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, supporting professional development and service excellence.
- Deputise for the Assistant Director - Finance, offering strong leadership and direction across the function.
