The Opportunity CBW is currently recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support a growing Air Conditioning Division within a leading mechanical services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in estimating and costing across a range of commercial and industrial HVAC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for air conditioning remedial works and call-outs
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive pricing
- Support material ordering for approved quotations
- Learn and follow internal estimating procedures and relevant industry standards
- Work closely with technical service managers and field engineers
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems (or willingness to learn)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a bonus
- High attention to detail and good organisational abilities
- Confident communicator and effective team player
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Working towards or holding a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Quantity Surveying
- Previous work experience or internship in a construction/building services environment is desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence required
