We at MSE invite you to apply for the post of Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics with a special interest in Children's surgery.

You would join the existing team of more than 50 Trauma and Orthopaedic consultants across the MSE..

It is an exciting time to work across the Trauma and Orthopaedic department in the MSE with a number of innovative programmes intended for us to become a centre of excellence as we develop a business case for a new Elective Orthopaedic Centre, which will be built on either the Basildon Hospital or the Broomfield Hospital site.

Your role will involve the promotion of our friendly, team based working environment in line with our Trust Values. You will be undertaking managerial and budgetary responsibilities as required.

You will be provided additional support staff: Dedicated administrative support and typists will be provided at local hospital site

Your clinical duties includes, ward rounds, elective Adult Orthopaedic Clinics, elective theatre sessions, regular trauma theatre sessions.

You will be attending departmental and divisional meetings as required. You will be responsible for the teaching of primary care colleagues and junior medical staff through a mixture of case-based review and formal teaching activity and mandatory involvement in appraisal on an annual basis.
