This is an opportunity to support a young man, with some learning difficulties you will support him in his family home to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is looking for a Personal Assistant to help build and maintain their son’s social skills and independence as well as be involved in activities in the community and at home. Hours/days can be flexible across Monday to Friday and will only involve daytime.
• The young man is early 20’s, is friendly and family orientated
• Activities he enjoys include:
• gaming including playing fifa
• playing golf
• watching sports including football
Main duties: Social duties, for example, support with/to:
• Support to source and access interests and hobbies
• Ensure he is supervised and safe
• Support with activities as discussed with family
• Support to build and maintain their social skills and independence
• Supporting the learning of new skills or interests
• Attend social groups and activities
There is no need for any support with personal care such as support with handwashing, dressing etc as is fully capable.
Person spec:
Reliable
Friendly
Full driving licence
Previous experience is not required but you will require a calm approachable manner
Ideally have an interest in sports (football, golf etc)
SALARY: £13.00-15.00 PER HOUR
HOURS: Flexible –Between 10 – 15 hours split over days to suit.
