A Research Fellow working on the synthesis and scale-up of Ni-rich layered oxide cathodes for Li-ion batteries.The candidate will utilise the cathode synthesis and scale-up facilities at WMG to develop and optimise routes to manufacture the cathode active materials. This role will also involve post-synthesis material characterisation.
Demonstrate skills in battery material synthesis, including co-precipitation reactions and powder processing. Experience in testing the material properties of battery materials.

PhD degree in a relevant subject, such as chemistry, materials science or engineering
If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
