Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Youth Offending Service Officer to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional support and interventions for young people within the youth justice system. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of young offenders, working collaboratively with various stakeholders including families, schools, and community organizations to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans. Your expertise in social care will directly contribute to reducing youth reoffending rates by addressing the root causes of criminal behavior and promoting positive life choices. We believe in a holistic approach that focuses on the strengths and needs of each young person, providing guidance, advocacy, and resources to empower them on their journey towards personal and social development. Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of young offenders, providing tailored support and interventions.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs and risks of young people.
Develop and implement intervention plans that promote positive change and reduce reoffending.
Collaborate with multi-agency teams, including police, schools, and social services, to ensure a coordinated response.
Engage with families to provide support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of young people against their intervention plans.
Prepare and present case reports for court and attend hearings as required.
Requirements
Qualified social worker with relevant social care qualifications.
Significant experience in working with young people within a social care or youth justice context.
In-depth knowledge of youth offending theories and intervention strategies.
Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and families.
Skilled in managing complex cases and making independent decisions in the best interest of young people.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework and contribute to team objectives.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £26.50
