Summary
What's involved with this role:
Contract Type: Temporary
The role: This role supports the Children & Young People Directorate, delivering high quality administrative and business support across various locations in the district. You’ll be first point of contact for internal teams and members of the public, managing communications, data input, financial processing, meeting support and general admin duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support including diary management, correspondence, and data input
Act as first point of contact for the team
Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes
Process orders, petty cash and invoices
Maintain and update systems and records
Handle confidential information sensitively
Support team communication and service delivery
What the client is looking for:
GCSEs (C/4+) in Maths, English and 2 other subjects
Active DBS
Experience in admin support within a team environment
Good knowledge of MS Office and admin systems
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
Minute-taking experience
Flexible approach to working
Desirable:
NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration
Experience within Local Government or similar
Recognised Customer Service qualification
