Summary
Title: Finance Manager / Data Analyst The Best Connection are currently hiring for an Finance Analyst on a permanent basis for a company who are committed to revolutionising the energy sector by providing simplified, innovative solutions for businesses. This position will be based in Castle Eden.

Key Responsibilities: Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts and financial reports Monitoring energy supplier commission payments and ensuring accurate reconciliation Tracking and forecasting revenue based on contract volumes, energy rates, and customer churn Supporting audits and regulatory compliance related to financial operations Working closely with Sales and Operations to analyse profitability and deal margins Assisting in improving and automating financial systems and reporting processes Evaluating risk exposure related to energy pricing and customer contracts The Candidate: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field At least 2-4 years of finance experience, ideally in the energy, utilities, or brokerage industry Knowledge of energy markets and brokerage commission models is highly desirable Part-qualified or fully qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA is preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and numerical skills High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and financial modelling) Familiarity with financial systems (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) Understanding of UK energy pricing, tariffs, and supplier frameworks (a strong advantage) Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication skills to explain complex financial data to non-finance colleagues Proactive mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and suggest improvements Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 (dependant on skills and qualifications) Working hours: Between 16 to 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
