Nursery Third in Charge – Full-Time

Salary: Up to £35,000 per year

Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner ready to take the next step in your career? We’re recruiting a dedicated Nursery Third in Charge to join a well-established, high-quality nursery set in acres of beautiful land, complete with a large outdoor play area for adventure-based learning.

As Third in Charge, you will support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in the daily running of the setting, helping to maintain exceptional standards of childcare, education, and safeguarding.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role in a nursery setting
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • A true passion for early years education and child development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with EYFS and Ofsted standards
  • Lead and support staff in delivering high-quality, child-led learning activities
  • Help plan and implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
  • Support with team development, appraisals, and performance management
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
