The Role:

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Enforcement Officer to join our busy Environmental, Education and Enforcement Department in Bolton.


You will be responsible for investigation Environmental crimes such as fly-tipping, littering and dog fouling dealing robustly with offenders by way of fixed penalty notices and/or court proceedings. You will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Environmental legislation and have the ability to prepare and submit cases for court.


About You:

You should possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work both in a group and on your own initiative.


You should have a strong enforcement background and have the desire to improving the environmental quality of Bolton, making a difference to resident’s lives. You must be able to cope with a demanding workload and where necessary have a flexible approach to working out of hours should the need arise.


You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of environment legislation and capable of investigation complaints, taking legal action where appropriate.
