Summary

To participate in CPD and other developmental activities and encourage all members of your team to do similarly. To participate in research and development by initiating, planning and undertaking clinical audits/research projects to evaluate and develop the specialist therapy service and produce evidence-based resources, policies and guidelines and support other staff to do this. To educate the multi-disciplinary team, therapists in the Trust and therapists nationally (as appropriate) on elements of therapy in your designated clinical area, and raise the profile of the therapy service in your designated clinical area within the service and Trust. To be responsible for overseeing supervisions and day to day management of junior staff. To provide structured appraisals, formal meetings and informal support in order to manage and supervise the senior staff regarding clinical issues. To lead on the development and implementation of high quality, multi-professional education and training programmes within the trust and for private patients. To support staff with service development in order to ensure provision of a high quality, patient-centred and clinically effective service. Within this leadership role you must ensure the highest standards of clinical governance, evidence-based practice, and quality assurance for inpatient therapy services is provided to Private Patients, with a focus on continuous improvement and benchmarking against Londons leading Private Healthcare providers.
