Summary

Learning Support Assistant Opportunity
Our fabulous Primary School in Leatherhead is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. We are looking for someone who will support our children to achieve their best and fill them with a joy of learning. Our motto is ‘all things are possible for one who believes’ and we are committed to this vision in our teaching and across all school life.
We are happy to train people so experience in a similar role is not vital. What is vital is that you enjoy working with children and find pleasure and excitement in helping children to learn new things, discover their talents and support them to overcome the difficulties they can face.
This permanent position is open for a September 2025 start. We are looking for 5 full days a week (8.45am to 3.30pm) You would mostly be working with children in upper KS2 so children aged 9 to 11.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has excellent communication skills
• Has the following qualifications GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
• Is a creative, forward thinking person who has high expectations of the children
• Is enthusiastic with a sense of humour
• Able to display a confident, positive and pro-active attitude towards pupils and their work
• Can manage and organise their time effectively
• Enjoys working collaboratively with others
• Is comfortable with administering basic first aid
• Is flexible and adaptable and relishes new challenges
