Summary
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Cardiology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
This post is available asap for a period of 12 months with a specific focus on supporting General Cardiology at Addenbrooke’s.
The department delivers a General Cardiology service within a large teaching hospital, supported by specialist services at Royal Papworth Hospital, the tertiary cardiac centre, co-located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. We are seeking a colleague to contribute to General Cardiology services, including outpatient (General Cardiology / Rapid Access Chest Pain & Heart Failure) and inpatient care, including out-of-hours on-call (6 weeks / year). In addition, there may be scope to accommodate a subspecialty interest, depending on the individual and the department’s needs
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Cardiology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
