Summary

Admin Assistant

Location: Paignton (Onsite)

Contract: Temporary - August to December

Hours: Monday to Friday (overtime available). School hours considered.

Salary: DOE (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:

Acorn by Synergie are looking for a proactive and organised Admin Assistant to join our clients team onsite in Paignton. This temporary role is a great opportunity to support operations with essential administrative duties, while also assisting production when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct full induction training including right to work checks and associated paperwork.
  • Set up new employees on the time and attendance system.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with training, assigning, coaching, communicating job expectations, and enforcing policies and procedures, ensuring non-English speaking staff are adequately supported.
  • Manage all e-commerce orders, including customer service and dispatch.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate paperwork.
  • Fully implement and follow company procedures, policies, and audit standards including BRC S&D, ISO9001 & SMETA 2 pillar.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and legal regulations.
  • Meet all KPIs set by the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain open communication between employees and management.
  • Support production lines when not carrying out admin duties.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong Excel skills (working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data entry) essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with multinational employees.
  • Proactive attitude with willingness to assist production teams.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
