Summary
Scottish Power Transmissions are looking for an Assets Quality Advisor to join them on a long term contract basis.
Role: Quality Advisor (Assets)
Business: Scottish Power Transmissions
Location: Cambuslang/hybrid style working with other site visits
Duration: 12 month initial contract with scope of renewal
Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available
As the Quality Advisor – Assets, you will support the Senior Quality Advisor responsible for a multidisciplinary team of professionals assigned to multi-million-pound energy construction projects.
You will be responsible for quality processes throughout the free issue asset life cycle, from specification at order stage to handover to our Operations colleagues once the asset is live on the network.
You will plan, facilitate and execute inspection and monitoring processes and report analysis on a monthly basis to senior management review meetings.
Accountabilities
• Attend/collate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) quality information and results (international and European travel required)
• Design and roll out goods in process for free issue equipment
• Design and roll out quality training around assets as required to support processes
• Design processes to ensure continued preservation of free issue assets at site
• Assist with supplier NCRs in relation to free issue equipment
• Support in Supplier management and improvement with other areas of the business
• Report inspection statistics to senior management monthly meetings
• Maintaining accurate records of Free Issue Equipment, including their quantity, condition and location
• Communicate with supplier/contractor with any potential issues regarding Free Issue Equipment
Criteria
• Significant experience in a quality role
• Experiencing in conducting audits during the FAT's
• IT proficient in Microsoft applications
• Significant process and Lead or Internal audit experience
• Proven ability to work and influence in a team environment
• Strong people skills, presentation skills, and the ability to train
Minimum Criteria
• Trained Quality Lead or Internal auditor (ISO 9001:2015)
• Experience of supplier quality management
• Experiencing in conducting audits during the FAT's
• Experience and understanding of HSEQ management systems, preferably within a commercially focused utility, service or construction business.
• Current valid driving licence
• Proven experience implementing new processes, engaging with stakeholders
• Understanding of quality tools such as 8D, 5WHY’s RCCA
• Experience working in helping reduce cost of poor quality
