About us:

Established in 1885, Millwall Football Club is one of the most famous football clubs in England. Currently competing in the EFL Championship, they play their home games at The Den, which is based in South Bermondsey, and has been the home of the Club since 1994.

The club is rich in history, and we are looking for individuals to lead visitors on a tour of The Den and deliver insightful commentary on the stadium, its construction, uses and the clubs' history and heritage.



Role Overview:

Your role will be to host and guide a small audience, delivering a first-class experience showcasing the club’s stadium and history. A successful candidate should understand the history and culture surrounding Millwall Football Club and have a passion for football.

As part of your role, you will not only be an ambassador for the club, but you will also be welcoming visitors and fans from around the world to The Den and provide them with a unique and unforgettable experience.

Candidates will be able to absorb, understand and apply large amounts of complex information and have the ability to relay such knowledge confidently to a wide age range of supporters and overseas visitors whilst controlling and managing groups of people.

The main responsibilities will be to guide visitors around the stadium at the same time as delivering a fun and informative tour which offers commentary, interesting facts and information about Millwall past and present at the same time as utilising a pre-set script.

A good memory for facts and figures is a must for the successful candidate and as well as having an outstanding knowledge about the club and its history, you will have good communicational skills, be confident and be able to hold a good rapport with visitors.

If you excel in customer service, are a natural communicator, good at public speaking and are interested in football and passionate about the city and Millwall, then this could be the ideal job for you.

The appointed Stadium Tour Guides will need to be available for our home games and also some midweek tour dates.



Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

· Greet guests upon arrival

· Engage with guests as a group but also 1 to 1

· Delivering a full stadium tour under a strict time frame

· Adapt your delivery and storytelling to different groups e.g., private or junior tours



Essential Requirements / Qualifications:

· Understanding of the club’s history, culture and stadium

· Experience in a customer facing role

· Time management skills

· Good communicational skills

· Confident public speaker, with the ability to engage diverse audiences including families, schools and international visitors

· Willingness to work weekends and some school holidays
