Job Title: Maths Lecturer
Location: Thurrock
Contract Type: Temporary, Part-time and Full-Time opportunities available
Hourly Rate: Up to £45 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Maths Lecturer to join our academic team on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective mathematics instruction to students, supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality maths lessons in line with curriculum requirements
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Provide academic support and guidance to students
- Contribute to the development of teaching materials and resources
- Participate in team meetings, quality assurance, and staff development activities
Requirements:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching mathematics at [further/higher] education level
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and support diverse learners
Desirable:
- Experience working in FE/HE sector
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and blended learning approaches
- Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a range of learner needs
