Family Solicitor | Luton, Bedfordshire | Full Time | £35,000 - £50,000 per annum

Our client’s firm was established with a mission to provide prompt and effective service to all clients. Their team of specialist solicitors is committed to providing an optimum level of service. With a wealth of experience and knowledge in areas including domestic abuse, family, and children’s law, their experts are passionate about what they do.

They are currently seeking a newly qualified Family Solicitor to join their team in Luton, Bedfordshire.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Newly qualified to 3 years PQE in Family Law
Strong legal aid knowledge and a passion for making a difference
• Proven experience in handling legal aid family law cases
• Excellent IT skills and ability to work with case management systems
• Professional, approachable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Own client following is an advantage, but not essential
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training

What will your role look like?

• Legal Aid Expertise: In-depth knowledge of family legal aid procedures is essential, including submitting applications, assessing eligibility, and delegating functions
• Casework: Handling a broad range of family matters, including:
• Divorce & Financial Remedy Proceedings
• Public and private children’s cases
• Cohabitation & Pre-Nuptial Agreements
• Schedule I Proceedings & Emergency Injunctions
• TOLATA cases
• Client & Case Management:
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Strong drafting and writing skills
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines
• Supporting the Team: Experience assisting senior solicitors on complex cases
• Billing & Financial Awareness: Experience in private fee-earning and billing is desirable
