We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our growing client’s business based in Grantham. The role is to support the operation of the warehouse undertaking a range of duties including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods, and use of Forklift Counterbalance and ideally Reach licences, you will require a full driving licence for this role also.
Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Operative:
• Unload deliveries, accurately check and record incoming goods against delivery notes -.
• Store goods safely and in the correct locations.
• Pick orders accurately according to pick lists and prepare for dispatch.
• Pack goods securely, ensuring packaging meets quality standards.
• Load outgoing deliveries onto vehicles.
• Complete dispatch paperwork or digital records correctly.
• Carry out regular stock checks and inventory counts.
• Assist with investigating stock discrepancies and adjusting records as required.
Requirements for a Warehouse Operative
- Previous warehouse and or logistics experience.
- Full and clean driving license.
- Forklift license (Counterbalance and or Reach).
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and or handheld scanners.
Expected hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 per week. For the first 3 months you will be working 8.30am – 6pm, then it moves on to a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm. You must be able to work the 2 shift pattern after the first 3 months.
