Summary

However, extensive and frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings) | This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Salary circa £5,772 per annum | 7 hours per week

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Locality Impact directorate and lead on Engagement in their area.
Reporting to the Engagement Lead, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across the locality to deliver against engagement activity.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Identifying, building and maintaining key relationships with key stakeholders.
• Enabling peer support and self-sustaining stroke communities to flourish in the locality.
• Volunteer recruitment.
• Providing support and management to volunteers.
• Supporting delivery of a localised approach to addressing health inequalities.
• Supporting delivery of Engagement and Service projects/Sprints in Essex.
You will have experience/understanding of:
• Involvement and developing support using Co-Production.
• Community Development.
• Recruiting, managing and developing volunteers.
• Working in partnership with other organisations, ideally in voluntary, health and social care.
• Supporting groups and developing networks.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

To fulfil the role, you must be a resident of the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
