We are looking to recruit a new role of Human Resources Director to support the strategic and operational development of the HR function within the Trust. Reporting to the Chief People Officer for the Trust, the role will include strategic and operational leadership of our Central HR Team based in the Central Office at Sheffield Business Park in Tinsley, Sheffield.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident HR professional with drive and ability who can make a real and direct impact on the delivery of our People Strategy. You will be joining a supportive team of colleagues and will play a leading role in the development and continuous improvement of the service.

The successful candidate will have a breadth of experience of working at a senior level and/or experience as HR Business Partner or Consultant in Human Resources, preferably in education or the public sector.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can contribute to the development and delivery of our People Strategy.
• Can lead the HR function and team in the provision of a comprehensive and professional HR service including management and delivery of casework, restructures, employee relations and support to leaders in people management.
• Can research, develop and update Trust HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law, national and local terms and conditions and contribute to the delivery of our People Strategy.
• Can support the development and implementation of the Trust HR/Payroll system including automation of HR processes to improve efficiency.
• Can support the design and delivery of briefings and training for a range of audiences in respect of HR issues and provide coaching to leaders/managers to develop their people management skills.
• Can analyse our HR metrics and data to inform decision making, support the production of reports for Trust Board, Executive Team and other audiences across the Trust, identify risks and support action to address them.
• Can contribute to the development of the HR team through coaching, training, and supervision to build capacity, career opportunities and confidence.
