Summary
We are seeking an experienced Indian Curry Chef with strong expertise in preparing authentic Indian curries and tandoori grills. The ideal candidate must have an in-depth understanding of traditional Indian kitchen operations, regional spice blends, and tandoori techniques using a clay oven.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a wide range of traditional Indian curries and tandoori items to high standards
Manage daily kitchen operations including food preparation, hygiene, and stock control
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Train and support junior kitchen staff as required
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an Indian kitchen
Proven ability in preparing both curry dishes and tandoori grills
Strong understanding of Indian herbs, spices, and cooking techniques
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
Good communication and team-working skills
Desirable:
Relevant culinary qualification or training
Experience working in a similar role within the UK
