Summary
Sense are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic team as a Deputy Care Manager at our Service in Barnet, London.
This is a Permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. As a Deputy Care Manager you will receive £30,141 per annum
We are a small group of 4 flats in a cul de sac located in Barnet, London. We support 16 people, 1 flat is single, the others are home to 4 - 6 people. The individuals we support are from 28 to 61 years old, most are fully mobile and are blind deaf with complex needs, with some behaviour that challenges.

This is an opportunity for you to work alongside the Registered Care Manager to help run the service. As a Deputy Care Manager you will provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments and/or learning disabilities. You will be a frontline supervisor, supporting the manager to effectively manage a team of staff to deliver person centred, specialist services.
You will need to have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning and staff management/development. We would like to hear from you if you are a committed, flexible and enthusiastic team player who is able to coach and mentor a team of support workers. You will be IT literate and able to undertake some administration duties.
Please note: the service is located in an area where parking is restricted, a parking Permit is provided within the limitations of Barnet for certain carers.
We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who have:
2 years experience in a leadership role within a Health & Social care setting (Deputy Manager experience is desirable)
Level 3 Diploma Leadership in Health & Social Care and willing to study for a higher level.
Experience and knowledge of working to CQC guidelines.
Substantial experience of providing support including personal care and able to support with personal care and cover the floor when needed.
A flexible, hands on person with a positive, a can-do attitude.
Passion about enhancing other people’s lives and willing to go the extra mile for the service and wider organisation.
Willing to work weekends and bank holidays.
A full UK Driver's License is desirable for this role.

This role in Barnet might include:
Supporting individuals / groups and the service manager with daily tasks
You will assist the manager in the running of the service including rota, supervising, mentoring and leading the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained which guarantee compliance.
Provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.
