Summary
Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team.In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Shifts run between: 08:00 - 16:30 from Monday to Friday (early finish on Friday's)
Hours of work:37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term – 6 Months
Location:Okehampton Training Camp, Okehampton, Devon, EX20 1QP
- Looking after the camps general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose
- Cleaning of accommodation blocks, ablutions, classrooms, stores, offices and welfare areas. Window cleaning, filling/emptying dishwasher, vacuuming, mopping, removal of waste. All to a set standard and recording when this has been completed.
- Basic building maintenance - window handle changing, hanging curtains, gutter clearance, internal and external decoration
- Grounds maintenance - grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, leaf clearance, snow clearance and ice prevention
- Handing over/taking back accommodation and facilities
- Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems
- Carry out any other additional requirements as needed
The Ideal Candidate
- General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Previous knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance activity.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to complete documentation
- Basic IT skillswith ability to use a tablet
- Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence due to the rural location of this site (essential)
- Basic knowledge of fire prevention and legionella management is desirable but not essential.
