The Opportunity:
The Senior Project Officer to the Climate Springboard programme at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, will contribute to the delivery of programmes of work that support the private sector net zero transition. This role supports Scottish businesses, particularly SMEs, in measuring and reducing their carbon emissions to mitigate climate risks and access opportunities of the net zero economy. The post holder will develop and update educational resources to inspire climate action, deliver online and in-person workshops, provide 1:1 support to businesses, review and enhance businesses’ carbon reduction strategies, research barriers to climate action and collaborate with stakeholders to co-design effective interventions.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A relevant undergraduate degree and relevant work experience.
Relevant experience of teaching or facilitation for behaviour change to adults.
Knowledge of key climate challenges and a solid understanding of the net zero economy in Scotland and how this impacts SMEs.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Existing connections and relationships with key business support stakeholders in Scotland
