A warm, welcoming family based in Richmond is seeking a child-friendly part time daily housekeeper to support the smooth running of their household. This permanent role is primarily focused on housekeeping (approximately 85%), with occasional childcare support (around 15%) when needed, such as during parental travel or school holidays.
The position would suit an experienced, reliable, and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining a well-organised home and enjoys being around young children in a supportive role.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily housekeeping duties including:
o General cleaning and tidying of all areas of the home
o Regular deep cleaning
o Laundry and ironing for the household
o Bed linen changes
o Household organisation and upkeep
• Preparing simple family meals (recipes provided)
• Occasional childcare support, including:
o Helping with nursery drop-offs/pick-ups if the parents are travelling would be a bonus
o Supervising play or taking the children to the park
o Extra support during school holidays if you are available (additional hours may be offered)
• Supporting a calm, happy, and well-run home environment
Requirements
• Significant private household experience in a similar housekeeper or housekeeper/nanny role
• Confident with housekeeping duties to a high standard
• Child-friendly with a warm, gentle approach
• Comfortable working around young children (aged 3 and 1)
• Able to cook simple, healthy meals for the family
• Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills
• Fluent English required. French speaker preferred, but not essential
• First Aid certification (required)
• Driving licence preferred, but not essential
• Must be seeking a long-term, part time role in Richmond
