SEN Outreach Tutor (Part-Time, Bromley)
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Outreach Tutor to provide tailored, 1:1 educational support to young people not currently attending school. This role involves creating and delivering bespoke lesson plans that address individual learning gaps, build confidence, and reengage pupils in their education.
If you're an experienced SEN specialist teacher looking for a flexible, part-time role outside the traditional classroom, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference through personalised and enjoyable lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 tailored tutoring sessions to support pupils' academic progress and emotional well-being
- Develop bespoke learning plans to meet individual needs and reengage pupils with their education
- Monitor and report on pupil progress in collaboration with Prospero Teaching
- Help pupils regain routine and confidence after periods out of education
Contract Details:
- Location: Bromley and surrounding areas
- Position: Outreach SEN Tutor
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week (flexible scheduling, minimum 1 hour per session)
- Contract Type: Temporary, contract-based
- Rate: From £25 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months' experience working in UK schools, ideally with SEN pupils
- Up-to-date safeguarding training preferred (within the last 12 months)
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply
- Right to work in the UK
- Two recent professional references related to child work
