Summary
Warehouse Operative – Great Barr - £24k + excellent benefits
Our client is a well-established company based in the Great Barr area of Birmingham, due to expansion they are now looking for a experienced Warehouse Operative to join their existing team.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
• Take orders from our clients warehouse manager on a daily basis.
• Load and unload goods from delivery vans
• Ensure that correct quantity has been received by comparing received goods with information on the supplier delivery note.
• Identify any damaged or missing goods and record on supplier delivery note and inform appropriate member of staff.
• Ensure that delivery notes are signed only upon satisfaction of completed order
• Move received goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Make sure that all goods are labelled properly using appropriate labels
• Allocate storage space for items based on their types and sizes
• Pick out ordered goods and ensure that they are in good condition
• Isolate and report any broken or damaged goods at the time of order picking
• Ensure that information of picked goods is accurate to delivery notes.
• Move picked goods from storage areas to delivery pallets using forklifts
• Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with delivery drives to ensure smooth procurement
• Stock management including stock take
• General warehouse maintenance
You must be physically fit with a good level of English (written and spoken) and have previous warehouse experience.
