The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the BSMHFT Psychiatry Clinical Teaching Academy, assisting them in achieving their aims and objectives in the organisation and management of clinical placements for students from University of Birmingham and Aston University Medical Schools.

The post holder will be managed by the UGME Manager and will work alongside the other UGME coordinator to support the day to day running of the Undergraduate Medical Education Office.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of professionals from colleagues at BSMHFT to senior University staff. We would welcome applications from candidates with an initiative to undertake duties autonomously who are keen to learn, enthusiastic, responsive, flexible and possess relevant IT skills. While the post is full-time, 37.5hrs per week, some flexibility is required to accommodate times of high demand such as during exam periods.
• To provide high-level administrative support and coordination for the delivery of the undergraduate teaching programme.
• To work closely with the Head of Academy, UGME Manager, Clinical Teaching Fellows, Consultants and University staff to plan and delivery Year 4 teaching and training.
• Collate mid- and end-placement feedback and work with the leads to look at trends to inform the future development in design and delivery of the placements and teaching programme.
• To liaise with the clinical teams to ensure placements are planned effectively and communicated to the students in a timely manner.
• To ensure local timetables and associated resources are uploaded to the respective university platforms, reviewing and amending the content where necessary.
