Summary
Kind Tailored Care Ltd are looking for an Support Worker to join our family circle. To be successful you will be a kind and compassionate person with excellent people and communication skills. You will work with other team members to meet the personal care needs of our loved ones, some with complex care needs and their families. You will do this in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. You will play a key role in supporting our team with the vision set out by our CEO and Founder, ensuring our services are always tailored to meet the needs of the individuals we support with the right kind of care being provided.

Kind tailored care is a community-based service who are proudly registered with the CQC and CIW in England and Wales. We specialise in providing compassionate care and support to our service users, who we like to call “loved ones”. We do this within the comfort of our loved one’s own homes or safe environment, guided by our experienced experts. Everyone at Kind tailored care is dedicated to making a meaningful difference to the families we serve.
Key Responsibilities
To assist loved ones with all personal care needs including, undressing, washing, bathing and toileting needs including incontinence. While also assisting with mobility issues and other physical disabilities.
To support with end-of-life care if required.
To engage in the promotion of mental and physical wellbeing of our loved ones by talking to them, taking them out places, sharing activities with them such as reading, writing, hobbies, interests and recreations.
To make and change beds, laundry and all domestic tasks within the household.
·To read and write reports and take part in staff and loved one’s meetings and any training activities as directed.
·To always comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures, which includes the loved one’s care plan and medication needs.
To report to the Deputy Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a loved one.
All staff are required to attend mandatory training where appropriate; this includes induction and National Vocational Qualifications or their equivalent.
To enable and assist loved ones to maintain, on a day-to-day basis as much autonomy and independence as possible.
To support and assist loved ones in identifying risks and recording the support plan which minimises and manages the identified risk.
To agree and record with the loved ones, their needs wishes and preferences and how these will be met.
Involve and consult with loved ones, their families, representatives or advocates to ensure that the loved one’s views are expressed and acted upon.
To act always, to safeguard loved ones from any form of abuse and to report such concerns immediately.
To assist and contribute to any regulatory body inspection or monitoring visit.
Update and continually improve practice by a mutually agreed method which may include attendance at staff meetings, learning support briefings and one-to-one supervision.
Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
Level 3 or 5 in Health and Social Care or the equivalent, pay is dependant on qualifications and experience.
Flexibility is a must.
Full UK driving licence required, you will be required to travel and work field based to meet the demands of the business. As well as for training.
Clear communications and active listening skills.
Person Centred approach required.
Reliable and Punctual.
Empathetic, compassionate, Kind and Friendly.
Willingness to learn, upskill and keep on top of CPD.
Fully Enhanced DBS required.
Compliant with the regulatory requirements of CIW.
