Crynodeb
Charlton Park Stables has 18 horses, 15 full liveries and 3 young competition horses.
We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and individual care for each horse and their owner.
The role includes all yard duties such as mucking out, turning out and bringing in, tack cleaning, feeding and watering. You will also be assisting with diary management and organisation of daily jobs, Stock management (Feed, Hay, Bedding etc.) and Fencing.
You will be working as part of a team and alone and must have strong Communication skills when dealing with clients and visitors e.g vets, farriers
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for maintaining the horses and yard to a high standard.
In return we can offer set hours and days, training in all aspects of horse care and running a stable yard as a successful business.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.

Skills required
A passion for horses and their welfare and experience is required
Prospects
The possibility to progress onto a L3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship after successful completion of the L2 for the right candidate.
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration 15 months
