Summary
Job Overview
-You will be joining a team of motivated security professionals protecting two 10-storey buildings in the Bankside area of London (SE1), delivering excellent customer service to staff of 40+ advertising agencies and guests.
Main Duties
Operations
-You will provide excellent customer service and a warm welcome to staff and guests whilst on duty in the reception area. You will ensure that all staff and guest adhere to the client's access procedures as well as controlling access for contractors and out-of-hours deliveries. You may be required to accept mail deliveries and should ensure that these are correctly accounted for and stored safely until handed over to the mail room team.
-You will be required to conduct internal and external patrols of both buildings reporting all abnormalities and damage. You may also be called upon as First Responder to on-site incidents, so you should be prepared to step-up and direct other service suppliers.
-Agencies host several functions and social events each month, and you may be required to provide a safety presence during these events and a detailed tour of the buildings and training on emergency procedures will be provided, however, officers are expected to conduct their own reconnaisance prior to supporting such events.
Training
-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training, both online and practical on-the-job. Comprehensive instruction will be given covering all aspects of the duties. In addition, you may be asked to complete further online training courses to ensure continuing professional self-development. Therefore, you should be competent is use IT particularly MS Word and Excel. Depending upon you IT skills, you may be cross trained in Access Pass production and Control Room operations.
Compliance and Health & Safety
-You are to be aware of, and ensure compliance with, all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies, furthermore, you will be required to complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
-You will be required to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site. You should also stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers and complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
What we are looking for
-Previous Security Experience
-Door Supervisor SIA License, as the contract hold multiple licensed events annually.
-An outgoing security officer with a positive ‘can-do' attitude and great Customer Service, with a desire to progress.
-Good IT and report writing (language) skills.
