Summary
Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for the position of Wigs Assistant to work on the upcoming West End musical "PADDINGTON" at the Savoy Theatre.
We are seeking applications from individuals of all backgrounds for the position.
Responsibilities include working as part of the team in the maintenance, repair and dressing of wigs and hair on the production as well as make-up requirements, to maintain the look of the production as designed. Other responsibilities include dressing performers prior to and during rehearsals and performances and other performance-related activities, working as part of an efficient and successful department and liaison with all other departments on the production and associated personnel.
Candidates will require hands-on professional experience with an emphasis on wigs and hairdressing, make-up and other related disciplines, the ability to work under pressure and within a team and good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management qualities. Desirable skills include experience in wig-knotting and/or barbering skills.
