About the Role
HSDC is looking for a Lecturer/Teacher of Engineering to deliver inspirational teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring excellent student success and progression. You will collaborate with a team of passionate professionals in a well-equipped college and benefit from excellent working conditions. The current course offerings include Entry Level, Levels 1 and 2, T Levels, and Appren-ticeships, with both full-time and part-time options.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
• To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assess-ment.
• To record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
• To prepare learning plans schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all admin-istration relevant to teaching duties.
• To attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.
Requirements
You will need:
• Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or will-ingness to work towards this.
• High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area
• At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
• Degree in relevant subject (Desirable)
