Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an LSA to join us on a fixed-term basis from September 2025 to 17 July 2026. The post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a strong SEND department in our highly successful academy.
The core purpose of the role is to assist in the support and development of students with Special Educational Needs and Emotional School Based Avoidance (ESBA) within Plume Academy’s Bridge provision.
Personal Qualities
The successful applicant should have qualifications in Maths and English at minimum C grade GCSE (grade 4) or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
Applicants should be hardworking, enthusiastic and have a high level of commitment and ability to focus on fostering the teaching and learning and personal development of Year 7 to 13 students.
Responsibilities of the Post Holder
Responsibilities of the post holder will be in accordance with the LSA’s job description.
Remuneration and Working Time
The hours of work required for the role are 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.10pm, term time only (38 weeks per year).
Annual salary will be in accordance with the Academy’s Support Staff Pay Scale, which for appointment for a full-time post currently involves a salary of Band 2, Point 11 in the range of point 11–14 with an actual starting salary of £15,971.16 per annum (2025/26 pay awards pending).
