Summary

Tax Compliance Administrator
Location: Altrincham (or within a commutable distance)
Salary: £26,500 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (hybrid after 2 months)

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a keen interest in personal tax. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient tax return processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interface

  • Respond to individual clients' queries relating to personal tax, tax returns, and liabilities.
  • Liaise with Customer Care and Accounts teams regarding customers' tax returns and provide relevant information when required.

Tax

  • Demonstrate knowledge of personal taxation obligations, including employment, retirement, and residence.
  • Clearly communicate the tax return process to clients, covering liabilities, payments on account, and other personal tax matters.
  • Identify where to locate relevant income and tax-related information.

Systems

  • Confidently use current systems to manage tax processes.
  • Analyse and identify improvements to current administrative procedures.
  • Monitor and manage emails in the Tax Compliance inbox as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Education / Qualifications

  • Essential: GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Desirable: ATT or ACCA (or equivalent) part-qualified, or an Accounting and Finance degree.

Experience

  • Essential:
  • Office and/or administration experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable:
  • Experience in a customer service setting
  • Experience in a telephony-based role
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
