Summary
Are you looking for a new role in public sector procurement which offers part-time hours and very flexible remote working ?
This is a brand new role working for an ever expanding government organisation, who have the opportunity to work on some really exciting procurement projects.
This particular role would suit someone who enjoys working on procurement policies and procedures.
It will include:
- Supporting the Head of Procurement and senior procurement managers in creating and embedding best practice to deliver efficient processes and procedures.
- Act as a subject-matter expert in respect of the Procurement Policy and Guidance and support on complex procurement-related challenges and initiatives.
- Work with the wider procurement team to ensure that policies reflect delivery. In addition, work with Contract Management and Assurance Department, Governance and Risk to ensure policies and guidance reflect organisational wide approach.
- Participate in the evolution of procurement strategy and translate strategy into processes and procedures.
- Regularly update the Procurement Leadership Team on development and changes to procurement policy and guidance.
- Make constructive and proactive contribution to the formulation and implementation of policy, ensuring it takes into account relevant procurement issues.
- Keep up to date with developments in procurement and contract management and any changes in relevant legislation and government policy.
- Attend national training and conferences to keep up to date on procurement matters.
What you'll need to succeed :
- Ideally, you will be either CIPS qualified, or working towards it.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and government policy.
- Demonstrable experience of working across the whole organisation to promote procurement.
- Good communication, influencing, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience gained within public sector procurement.
What you'll get in return :
- Salary of up to £47,700 (prorated)
- 2 days per week or equivalent (flexible on days/hours)
- Flexible approach: Ideally, you will be able to work in the Nottinghamshire office 1 day per week. However, consideration may be made for a mostly remote basis, attending the office once every 1-2 months for candidates living further afield.
- Excellent pension of employer contributor rate of £28.97%
- 27.5 days holiday + bank holidays + option to add extra days
