Summary
Your new company
Hays Education is delighted to be supporting a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Wigan in their search for a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a school easily accessible via main motorways and public transport.
Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated teacher to take on a Key Stage 2 class within a school that values creativity, collaboration, and high standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in upper primary education and beyond. Subject leadership would be desirable but not essential - so this could be a great opportunity to add to your teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners in KS2.
- Promote a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and resilience.
- Track and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.
- Work closely with colleagues to plan cross-curricular learning experiences.
- Contribute to the wider school community through clubs, events, and enrichment activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (or strong KS2 placement experience for ECTs).
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for upper primary education.
- Is confident in managing behaviour and fostering a respectful classroom culture.
- Brings energy, creativity, and a reflective approach to their teaching practice.
What you'll get in return
- A welcoming and supportive school community.
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
- Access to Hays Education's exclusive CPD training and resources.
- Ongoing support from a dedicated Hays consultant throughout your placement.
