About the Role Our award-winning and dynamic Marketing and Engagement team plays a crucial role in driving student recruitment and boosting the group’s reputation as an outstanding education provider in the region. The team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including marketing, communications, student recruitment, admissions, information services, market insights and more. We provide an outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders including prospective students, their parents/carers, stakeholders and our community. Recruiting thousands of students each year, we enhance the student journey by creating impactful campaigns, leveraging marketing tools, embracing new trends, harnessing data-driven analytics, and organising a calendar of events which showcase the very best our colleges have to offer. One of our strategic priorities is to supercharge our internal communications and so we're looking for a proactive self-starter to join our team. The Internal Communications Officer is responsible for delivering clear, consistent, and effective internal communications across Education Partnership North East (EPNE). The role supports employee engagement and organisational cohesion by ensuring key messages are communicated across all campuses and internal channels. Working closely with colleagues in People and Organisational Development (P&OD), leadership, and the wider marketing and communications team, the postholder will plan and coordinate content that keeps staff informed, connected, and aligned with EPNE’s strategic goals, values, and culture. The role also supports staff voice and contributes to building a positive internal communications environment. Role Responsibilities Produce clear, timely, and engaging internal content for a variety of channels, including newsletters, intranet, all-staff emails, digital signage, and briefings. Embed and champion the use of the internal communications platform across all departments, encouraging adoption and sharing analytics. Work with People and Organisational Development to develop and deliver internal campaigns that promote organisational initiatives such as staff wellbeing, development, recognition, inclusion, and change programmes. Communicate change management initiatives and organisational updates in a supportive and transparent way, ensuring staff are informed and engaged. Contribute to the development of internal communication guidelines and processes to support consistency and quality across the organisation. Assist in the planning and promotion of internal events such as staff briefings and corporate events.
