Summary
Teaching Assistant and Sporting Coach Assistant
We at Courtney are looking for experienced and dynamic TA. Courtney is a close-knit, caring but highly ambitious school. The school is at an exciting point in its journey. The ideal Teaching Assistant should have: • Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children. • A good standard of general education, to include literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to NVQ2 in English and Maths. • NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or other relevant qualification with some practical experience of working with children, or; a good understanding/previous experience of working with children in an educational context with evidence of relevant training in the appropriate age range or curriculum/learning area. • Ability to use ICT effectively to support pupils’ learning. • Working knowledge of national/foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies. • Must be willing to undertake further professional development. • Have experience working as an Early Years, Key Stage 1 or 2 Class Teaching Assistant or SEN TA • Be flexible and patient • Be able to communicate effectively within a team • Be compassionate and an awareness of attachment • You will need to show a good understanding of children’s development and take a lead in organising tasks which enable personalised targets to be met. • An interest and/or passion for sports and outdoor learning.

This role is Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30 term time only including inset days. There are also an additional 15 working days during the school holiday working with our sports coach in delivering extra-curricular activities. Closing date – 16th July Interviews Thursday 17th July
