Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and autonomous HCPC registered Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well established adult community mental health team.
We particularly welcome applications from BAME communities, people with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions and LGBTQIA+ community members. Within this role you will receive supervision by Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist and Professional OT/ Therapy Leads in each service area. West London has a strong AHP leadership team and a wider OT management within the trust which is supportive of staff and their development needs. There is an existing across trust AHP Training Programme as well as other training opportunities internally. Staff have been supported with developing their skills across the 4 pillars of practice within trust opportunities and external training as identified by PDR. You will be a part of embedding the AHP strategy.
You will carry a clinical caseload which will include;
· Assessment and treatment of patients within each service line for an array of mental health and physical health conditions and to determine clinical reasoning and Occupational Therapy treatments in line with your case formulations.
· To provide a client-centred occupational therapy service to a defined caseload of service users, working with multi-disciplinary team members and the occupational therapy team.
· To work as part of a team within the multi-disciplinary Team for the best interests of the caseload.
· Provide initial assessments, crisis and care plans of service users 18 to 65 years of age.
· Supervision of junior and support staff and students.
To plan, conduct and review audits, research, quality improvement and service development projects.
