Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Capital Estates Technician to join our Estate team at a company that really cares about the people and the planet!


Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum
Location: Based at our Forest Holidays - Forest of Dean (Coleford, Gloucester) location, along with regular visits to the Support Centre and occasional national travel.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Reports to: Capex Coordinator

About the Junior Capital Estates Technician Role:

In your role as Junior Capital Estates Technician, you will support key capital projects across operations and other departments. This hands on role involves maintaining and improving the external condition of cabins, assisting with decking builds, staining cabins and creating recycling points to enhance guest experiences and safety. Working closely with the Capital Estates Technician, you’ll contribute to extending the lifecycle of assets, promoting a “First Time Fix” culture, and reducing costs such as refunds and reactive maintenance. The role requires independent working, and regional travel as the role demands and a proactive approach to resolving issues effectively.



Responsibilities:


Support capital projects within operations team but also other departments as required. (Staining cabins, decking builds, recycling point builds)
Improve and maintain external condition of cabins.
Improve outdoor experience and safety for guests by supporting the CET in rebuilding decking’s or extending the life cycle of the asset.
Reduce refunds, reactive maintenance spend and CAPEX labour spend.
Promotion of a “First time fix” culture.
Other tasks to address operational needs.
Escalate issues that cannot be resolved by themselves.




Skills & Experience


Mechanical/Electrical or construction trade desirable but not essential
Ability to select appropriate tools and equipment, and use them in a competent manner.
Comfortable driving long distance.
Resilient, flexible and approachable
Good communicator and a team player.
Requires independent working (away from home).
