Thames Reach runs projects and services that help to end homelessness in London. We work directly with homeless people on the streets and in hostels. About this role…

We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to join the Tenancy Sustainment team.

We will not accept applications where Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used to assist with completing the competency questions.

Floating Support services work with people to sustain their housing. We use a strength-based approach to work with people to identify what support they require and how we can address them together or / and in collaboration with others e.g. landlords, Department of Work and pension or mental health services.

We can support people for the duration of their tenancy, or we can provide short term interventions. We can provide resettlement support when a tenancy commences, and we can equip people with the skills to manage their home and goals independently or when they are move on ready and require minimal support.

You will:

.Oversee daily operations through effective casework management.
.Lead and inspire staff with strong management skills, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous service improvement.
.Collaborate with external partners such as Registered Social Landlords, the .Clearing House, Greater London Authority, local authorities, and health services.
.Produce detailed reports, maintain accurate records, and conduct evaluations and impact analyses to monitor and enhance performance.
.Provide a welcoming, motivational support service to help individuals transition into tenancies after experiencing rough sleeping, making a tangible difference in their lives.
.Manage staff across seven London boroughs to facilitate successful resettlement into tenancies and onward progression after rough sleeping.

You will have:

.Demonstrable experience managing a team delivering a support or similar service.
.In-depth experience of safeguarding, ensuring work is delivered effectively and safely.
.Experience in developing effective working relationships, with strong people skills when engaging stakeholders and partners.
.A firm belief in the mission that people can and will move on from homelessness by accessing and sustaining tenancies, building supportive relationships, and leading fulfilling lives.
.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize to meet KPIs consistently.
.Creative problem-solving abilities to ensure a high-quality service is maintained at all times.
