Join us as a Nursing or Allied Health Professional Information Officer (NIO/AHPIO)
Band: 8b | Location: Hybrid (CNWL Sites + Remote)
Are you a passionate nurse or allied health professional who’s excited by the power of digital to transform care? Do you believe that the systems we use should work for us – not the other way around? At Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust, we're on a bold digital journey to empower our clinicians to help lead the way and we’re looking for a Nursing or Allied Health Professional Information Officer (NIO/AHPIO) to join our team.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
This is a clinical digital leadership role at the heart of our digital leadership team – and as an innovative role, it's as much about supporting the use of new technologies as it is about unlocking the potential of doing more with what we’ve already got. You’ll play a key role in shaping how digital tools support frontline care, always through the lens of nursing and allied health professional practice.
You will:
• Champion smarter use of our existing electronic health records (EHRs) and digital systems across the Trust
• Co-design and optimise digital workflows that improve care quality, patient safety, and staff experience
• Help drive and embed our user-centred design approach, ensuring that clinicians and patients are part of every step of digital development
• Act as a bridge between clinical teams and the digital world, translating clinical need into digital change
• Support local innovation, digital capability building, and transformation at scale.
You are a registered nurse or AHP with:
• Deep understanding of frontline challenges – and a passion for solving them
• Curiosity about digital tools and how they can improve care
• Great communication and influencing skills – you’re someone who can bring people with you
• Experience in digital projects or quality improvement (desirable, but not essential – we’ll support your growth)
We’re passionate about delivering first-class patient-centred, safe and effective care, whether it is in a hospital setting, in a community clinic or in the patient’s own home. Patients are at the heart of everything we do.
Providing top quality care depends on our ability to employ the best people.
We’re always looking torecruit outstanding people who will go the extra mile to support our patients, colleagues, teams and the Trust. With every new employee we’re hoping to find our future leaders and we’ll support our staff by providing opportunities to develop your career.
With a diverse culture and equally diverserange of opportunities across mental health, community services, addictions, eating disorders, learning disabilities and more – whatever stage of your career you're at, there's always a place for you at CNWL.
Working with the Associate Director of Digital Transformation, the purpose of the role will be to act as a conduit between clinical practice and digital systems; ensuring the design, implementation and optimisation of electronic health records and digital tools align with the needs to nurses and allied health professionals and improve patient care.
The role will champion the voices of nursing and allied health professionals in digital transformation programmes, support the safe and effective use of data and technology and help embed digital literacy across clinical teams.
The role will be pivotal in driving innovation, enhancing workflow efficiency and ensuring that digital solutions support person-centred across community and mental health services
